Ondudu Safari Lodge features twelve tented chalets, carefully built on raised wooden platforms that blend seamlessly into the natural rock landscape. Each chalet offers:

  • Spacious, insect-proof ventilation, allowing the cool highland breezes to flow freely.

  • Warm wooden interiors with comfortable bedding, crisp linens, and practical storage.

Location & Accessibility

Ondudu Safari Lodge is conveniently located in north-western Namibia, only 14 km west of Omaruru and approximately 208 km from Windhoek.

  • By Road: Access is via the tarred C33 and gravel D2315 roads. A high-clearance 2WD vehicle is sufficient, but a 4WD is recommended for ease of travel.

  • By Air: Guests can fly into the Omaruru airstrip, just 15 minutes from the lodge. Transfers can be arranged on request.

Its central location makes Ondudu an excellent base for both game hunting in Namibia and Namibia photographic safaris.

Terms and Conditions

Deposit

We confirm a Safari on receipt of a deposit calculated at 50% of the total daily rate of the hunt, the balance of the calculated daily rates is due 6 months prior to the commencement of your Safari. (plains game only)

Please contact Safari Bound Southern Africa regarding deposit/payment when a Safari is booked.

Trophy Fees and Additional Upgrades and Costs

We do not have any control over the rising costs of hunting.

That being said, all trophy fees and additional upgrades or costs will be based on the year that the hunt takes place unless otherwise stated in your Safari contract.

Cancellation Policy

I understand that if I cancel my Safari within a period 180 (one hundred and eighty) days prior to the first day of my (initial) Safari, my deposit will be forfeited to Safari Bound Southern Africa. If, in the sole discretion of Safari Bound Southern Africa, it possible to reschedule my Safari, the deposit will not be forfeited and the safari will be rescheduled. Safari Bound Southern Africa, in exercising its discretion, will take into account such factors as the availability of the desired dates and species. If Safari Bound Southern Africa deems it possible to reschedule my Safari I understand that there will be 20% (of deposit amount) “rescheduling fee” payable by me to Safari Bound Southern Africa in addition to the costs of my Safari. 
 

Payment

Full payment of your Safari is due on your last day of the hunt, either by means of cash, personal check or wire transfer. We do have credit card facilities in some of our camps – please confirm with Safari Bund Southern Africa before your Safari if you wish to pay via credit card. (There will be a 3.9% charge on all cc transactions) Unfortunately we do not accept American Express.

The dry season (May–October) offers clear visibility and frequent animal sightings. The green season (November–April) adds lush backdrops, dramatic skies, and great bird photography opportunities.
